Vasectomy

Vasectomy is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Vasectomy is a surgical procedure designed for permanent male contraception. During a vasectomy, the vasa deferentia, the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles to the urethra, are cut or sealed. This prevents sperm from being released during ejaculation and, consequently, the ability to fertilize an egg. Vasectomy is considered a highly effective method of permanent contraception, but it does not affect a man's ability to ejaculate or experience sexual pleasure.| The procedure can be performed in a healthcare provider's office or clinic and typically takes about 20-30 minutes. After a vasectomy, it can take several months and ejaculations for any remaining sperm to be cleared from the reproductive tract. Until confirmation of a sperm-free semen analysis, alternative forms of contraception are required to prevent pregnancy.
