Cystoscopy / Stent placement
Cystoscopy / Stent placement is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Cystoscopy with stent placement is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat urinary tract conditions, such as kidney stones or ureteral strictures. During the procedure, a cystoscope, a thin tube with a camera and light at the end, is inserted into the urethra and guided up into the bladder. This allows the urologist to visualize the inside of the bladder and ureters on a monitor. If a blockage or narrowing is detected, a stent—a small, flexible tube—is inserted through the cystoscope and into the ureter to help facilitate urine flow and relieve obstruction. Stents may also be placed temporarily after certain surgical procedures to promote healing and prevent complications. Recovery from cystoscopy with stent placement is typically quick, with most individuals able to return home the same day. Mild discomfort, urinary urgency, and blood in the urine are common after the procedure and usually resolve within a few days.
