Hydrocele Excision

Hydrocele Excision is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Hydrocele excision is a surgical procedure performed to remove a hydrocele, a fluid-filled sac that develops around the testicle, causing swelling and discomfort. During the procedure, the surgeon makes an incision in the scrotum to access the hydrocele sac. The fluid is then drained, and the sac is carefully dissected and removed. In some cases, the surgeon may also repair any underlying issues contributing to the hydrocele, such as a patent processus vaginalis. The incision is then closed with sutures, and the scrotum is typically wrapped in a supportive bandage. Hydrocele excision is usually performed under local or general anesthesia on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return home the same day. Recovery from hydrocele excision is generally quick, with most individuals able to resume normal activities within a few days to weeks after the procedure.
