Knee Arthroscopy with Loose Body Removal
Knee Arthroscopy with Loose Body Removal is available through Mishe Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Knee arthroscopy with loose body removal is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed to address loose bodies or fragments of cartilage, bone, or other tissue within the knee joint. These loose bodies can cause pain, swelling, and mechanical symptoms such as catching or locking of the knee. During the procedure, small incisions are made around the knee, and an arthroscope—a thin, flexible camera—is inserted to provide a clear view of the interior of the joint. Surgical instruments are then used to locate and remove the loose bodies, restoring smooth movement and function to the knee. Knee arthroscopy with loose body removal is typically performed as an outpatient procedure and is associated with minimal scarring, less post-operative pain, and faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery. Post-operative care may include a period of rest, protection of the knee, physical therapy, and gradual return to normal activities.
