Arthroscopic Distal Clavicle Excision
Arthroscopic Distal Clavicle Excision is available through Mishe Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Arthroscopic distal clavicle excision is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed to address conditions such as acromioclavicular (AC) joint arthritis or impingement syndrome involving the distal end of the clavicle. During the procedure, small incisions are made around the shoulder, and an arthroscope (a small camera) and specialized surgical instruments are inserted to visualize and remove a portion of the distal end of the clavicle. This relieves pressure on surrounding structures, alleviates pain, and improves shoulder function. Arthroscopic distal clavicle excision is often preferred over traditional open surgery due to its smaller incisions, reduced risk of complications, and faster recovery times.
