Acromioclavicular Joint (AC Joint) Reconstruction
Acromioclavicular Joint (AC Joint) Reconstruction is available through Mishe Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Acromioclavicular joint (AC joint) reconstruction is a surgical procedure performed to restore stability and function to the AC joint, which is located at the top of the shoulder where the clavicle (collarbone) meets the acromion (part of the shoulder blade). The procedure is typically indicated for individuals with severe AC joint dislocation or instability resulting from trauma, such as a sports injury or fall. During AC joint reconstruction, the surgeon may use various techniques, including ligament repair or reconstruction, tendon grafts, or hardware fixation, to reestablish proper alignment and stability of the joint. The goal of AC joint reconstruction is to relieve pain, improve shoulder function, and prevent recurrent dislocations or instability.
