Hammertoe Correction

Hammertoe Correction is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Hammertoe correction is a surgical procedure aimed at correcting a deformity in the toes known as hammertoe, where one or more of the toe joints become permanently bent, resembling a hammer. This condition can cause pain, discomfort, and difficulty with shoe wear. During the procedure, the surgeon makes incisions over the affected toe joints and may release or lengthen tight tendons and ligaments to allow the toes to straighten. In some cases, the surgeon may also remove a small piece of bone to straighten the toe joint. The surgery aims to realign the affected toe joints, reduce pain, and improve the overall appearance and function of the toes. Hammertoe correction is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local or general anesthesia. Post-operative care may include wearing special shoes or splints to support the toes during the healing process, as well as physical therapy to regain strength and flexibility in the toes.
