Plantar Fasciotomy
Plantar Fasciotomy is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Plantar fasciotomy is a surgical procedure performed to treat plantar fasciitis, a condition characterized by inflammation and pain in the plantar fascia—a thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot, connecting the heel to the toes. During the procedure, the surgeon makes an incision in the plantar fascia to release tension and relieve pressure on the affected area. This helps to reduce pain and inflammation, as well as improve mobility and function in the foot. Plantar fasciotomy can be performed using traditional open surgery or minimally invasive techniques such as endoscopic or percutaneous procedures. The surgery is typically performed under local or general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Post-operative care may include wearing a splint or boot to support the foot during the healing process, as well as physical therapy to promote recovery and prevent recurrence of symptoms.
