Third level cervical/thoracic radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive procedure aimed at alleviating chronic neck or upper back pain by targeting the medial branch nerves in the cervical and thoracic spine. These nerves are responsible for transmitting pain signals from the facet joints, which can become inflamed or irritated due to conditions like arthritis or spinal degeneration.
