Biodex Testing — $250
Biodex Testing costs $250 in cash through NYU Langone Sports Performance Center. That is the whole price: you pay it when you book, and no bill follows.
This Isokinetic muscle contraction test is a form of exercise that permits maximum muscle contraction throughout the full range of joint movement. Isokinetic testing may be performed concentrically (muscles shorten during contraction) or eccentrically (muscles lengthen during contraction) as external forces are applied to the limb. The test is performed at various speeds to assess strength and power. We test opposing muscle groups, and compare these muscles to each other, and compare right to left to assess muscular balance. By isolating the muscle groups and testing how much they can handle, we can identify where you are weakest and design a program for you to get stronger and reduce the likelihood of re-injury.
