EGD/Upper GI Endoscopy w/ Biopsy

EGD/Upper GI Endoscopy w/ Biopsy is available through Mishe Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), also known as an upper endoscopy or gastroscopy, is a diagnostic procedure where a flexible tube with a light and camera (endoscope) is inserted through the mouth to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and the beginning of the small intestine (duodenum). During an EGD, biopsies can be taken to collect tissue samples for further analysis, which helps diagnose conditions like inflammation, ulcers, celiac disease, and cancers. This procedure is often recommended for symptoms such as persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained weight loss, upper abdominal pain, or gastrointestinal bleeding.
