Laparoscopic Excision/Fulgeration of Lesions with Hysteroscopy with Biopsy
Laparoscopic Excision/Fulgeration of Lesions with Hysteroscopy with Biopsy is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Laparoscopic excision or fulguration of lesions with hysteroscopy and biopsy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat abnormal tissue growths or lesions both inside and outside the uterus. This combined approach involves making small incisions in the abdomen for laparoscopic access and inserting a hysteroscope, a thin tube with a camera and instruments, into the uterus through the cervix. The surgeon visualizes the uterine cavity and surrounding pelvic structures to identify and biopsy any abnormal lesions. Simultaneously, laparoscopic instruments are used to address lesions found outside the uterus, either by excision with specialized instruments or destruction through fulguration. This procedure allows for both diagnostic sampling and therapeutic intervention in cases of suspected intrauterine and intra-abdominal pathology, offering the advantages of minimal invasiveness, reduced postoperative discomfort, and shorter recovery times compared to traditional open surgery.
