Septoplasty with Turbinate Reduction
Septoplasty with Turbinate Reduction is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Septoplasty with turbinate reduction is a surgical procedure performed to address issues related to a deviated nasal septum and enlarged nasal turbinates. The septum is the cartilage and bone structure that divides the nasal cavity into two chambers, and a deviation occurs when it is shifted to one side, obstructing airflow. Turbinates are structures inside the nose that help humidify and filter air, but when they become enlarged, they can obstruct nasal breathing. During the procedure, the surgeon will first correct the deviated septum by repositioning or removing the displaced cartilage and bone. Then, the inferior turbinates may be reduced in size through various techniques to improve nasal airflow. This surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia and can lead to improved nasal breathing, reduced congestion, and relief from associated symptoms.
