Hip Excision of Bursa
Hip Excision of Bursa is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Hip excision of bursa, also known as bursectomy, is a surgical procedure performed to remove an inflamed or enlarged bursa sac near the hip joint. Bursae are fluid-filled sacs that cushion and lubricate the joints, reducing friction between bones, tendons, and muscles. When a bursa becomes inflamed due to repetitive motion, trauma, or underlying conditions such as arthritis, it can cause pain, swelling, and limited range of motion. During the procedure, the surgeon makes an incision over the affected area, carefully removes the inflamed bursa, and then closes the wound with sutures. Removal of the bursa helps alleviate pain and discomfort, improve hip joint function, and reduce the risk of further inflammation.
