Elbow Bursectomy
Elbow Bursectomy is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
Elbow bursectomy is a surgical procedure performed to remove an inflamed or infected bursa sac located near the elbow joint. Bursae are small fluid-filled sacs that cushion and lubricate the joints, reducing friction between bones, tendons, and muscles. When a bursa becomes inflamed due to repetitive stress, trauma, or infection, it can cause pain, swelling, and limited mobility in the affected joint. During the bursectomy, the surgeon makes an incision over the elbow, identifies the inflamed bursa, and carefully excises it. The procedure aims to alleviate symptoms, improve joint function, and prevent recurrent inflammation. Recovery typically involves a period of rest, physical therapy, and gradual return to normal activities.
