Trigger finger release, medically known as "flexor tenosynovectomy" or "trigger finger surgery," is a surgical procedure performed to treat a condition called "trigger finger" or "stenosing tenosynovitis." Trigger finger is characterized by the finger or thumb getting stuck in a bent or flexed position and then suddenly snapping straight, often with pain and a clicking sensation. It occurs when the flexor tendons, which enable finger movement, become inflamed or thickened, making it difficult for them to glide smoothly within the tendon sheath.| Explore Comprehensive Orthopedics Services with Mishe's Expert Providers.
