He earned his B.S. degree in Zoology from Louisiana State University in 1997. He then earned his M.D. degree from LSH Health Science Center in 2001. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and GI fellowship here at MUSC in 2007. Dr. Koch is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. | Dr. Koch’s clinical interests include Hepatology- Portal Hypertension, Cardiovascular Complications of Cirrhosis, Management of Portal Hypertensive GI Bleeding, Diastolic Dysfunction in Cirrhosis, and Transplant Hepatology.
